On November 9th, 1961, CORDEMEX SA de CV brought together the sisal ropes and twines factories of Yucatan taking the capital from the owners and the Federal Government, becoming a governing instrument of the state’s henequen agribusiness. In 1964, the Nacional Financial development bank acquires CORDEMEX, taking it to its greatest splendor, and it becomes the largest factory in the world for the manufacture of sisal twines and ropes.
Hilos y Jarcias de Henequen de Yucatán S.A. de C.V. is an industrial and commercial company that inherits the tradition of CORDEMEX, and continues with the manufacture and sale of henequen yarns for commercial and agricultural use, looking after thoroughly the planet along the whole process being ecofriendly.
From the planting of henequen plantations to its final packaging, the experience and tradition with which our processes are carried out, commits us to exceed the customer expectations, offering them bio-fibers of natural origin manufactured by expert hands that meet the quality requirements, and most importantly, we accomplish the lead times required delivering their products timely with their respective certificate of origin.
